Projects

Below are the main research and development projects in which DiTNE has participated or is currently participating.

The ProLIGHTmed project, co-financed by Interreg Euro-MED 2021–2027, aims to reduce CO2 emissions by optimizing public lighting in the Euro-MED area. It involves partners from various Mediterranean countries and integrates technical, socioeconomic, and environmental aspects.
The UNLOCK project, co-financed by the Interreg Europe 2021–2027 program, aims to strengthen the green hydrogen economy and the competitiveness of European SMEs. It involves partners from various European countries and seeks to reduce regional disparities by sharing best practices.
The DE-RESS project promotes Renewable Energy Communities to increase the self-consumption of clean energy and environmental awareness. It encourages local production and consumption of energy, reducing energy bills and enhancing social cohesion.
The REEHUB Plus project, an evolution of REEHUB, aims to improve energy efficiency in public buildings through innovative techniques and conscious behaviors. It involves partners from Albania, Montenegro, Apulia, and Molise, creating a network of HUBs to promote regional energy policies and dialogue among policymakers, citizens, and SMEs.
The REEHUB project aims to improve energy efficiency in public buildings, which are the largest source of energy consumption. It involves partners from Albania, Italy, and Montenegro, creating regional HUBs for training and dialogue among policymakers, citizens, and industries, promoting emissions reduction and energy savings.
The BRICKS project, part of BUILD UP Skills under the Intelligent Energy Europe program, aims to create a national vocational training system to enhance skills in the energy renovation of buildings. It involves regional and provincial stakeholders to define technical standards and certifications, promoting innovative training models and a distinctive brand for virtuous construction companies.
The EFFEDIL project developed sustainable solutions to improve energy efficiency in buildings located in temperate and warm climates, going beyond LEED requirements. It integrated innovative materials for building envelopes and ICT systems for energy optimization. It also includes training scholarships for researchers specializing in ICT systems.
INNOVASOL – Innovative Technologies in Concentrated Solar Power The INNOVASOL project developed advanced technologies in concentrated solar power for electricity generation. It created new production and control systems for thermodynamic and photovoltaic solar plants, as well as cogeneration processes for sludge management from water treatment. It includes 25 training scholarships for energy designers.
SMART ENERGY BOXES – Advanced Systems for Integrated Energy The SMART ENERGY BOXES project developed high-efficiency units for the integrated management of electrical and thermal energy in civil and industrial complexes. It introduced innovative technologies for energy generation and storage, including electrochemical systems and turboexpanders. It includes 5 training scholarships for researchers specialized in smart energy systems.
The ORECCA project created a framework for knowledge sharing and the development of a research roadmap in the offshore renewable energy sector. It aims to overcome the fragmentation of knowledge in Europe and to encourage contributions from experts to support sustainable and environmentally friendly development in ocean energy.
