Within the program of events of the 2024 edition of the SNIM – Puglia Boat Show – the “ will take place for the first timeSUSTAINABILITY DAY” on Thursday 10 October from 3pm to 6pm.
The event, promoted by SNIM and DiTNE – National Energy Technology District – as per the attached program, will be divided into two sessions: the first dedicated to the theme "SHIPBUILDING AND SUSTAINABILITY: HYDROGEN AND THE ENVIRONMENT" and the second on "ELECTRIFICATION OF TOURIST PORTS AND THE NAUTICAL SUPPLY CHAIN." Respectful and qualified representatives of major national companies such as A2A, Edison Next, Fincantieri, Isotta Fraschini Motori, Snam, organizations such as ENEA and RINA, and industry associations such as Confindustria Nautica will be present.
The challenge of ecological transition has fully involved the entire nautical and port industries in our country for years. This represents an extraordinary opportunity to consolidate technological innovation in a sector, particularly recreational boating, where the national industry has historically been a world leader. This opportunity also allows us to achieve decarbonization goals through the adoption of new fuels, such as hydrogen.
A process already well underway in the electrification of port infrastructure and marinas themselves to accommodate the innovations that are affecting an increasingly broad segment of recreational boating and other industries.
These themes will be at the heart of "Sustainability Day," offering operators, institutions, and stakeholders an opportunity to discuss future challenges and the results already achieved by the sector on the path to decarbonization and environmental protection.
