Energy, Lippolis: "Italy is ready to lead the transition. In Brindisi, with 'The Colors of Energy,' we're designing the industrial supply chain of the future."

Brindisi, October 3, 2025

Italy is accelerating its energy transition with tangible results. We are climbing global rankings for investment attractiveness in renewables and consolidating a production capacity that will allow us to build a strong and autonomous national supply chain. This is a historic opportunity that we must capitalize on to ensure our country's future.

safe and sustainable energy”.

With these words Gabriele Menotti Lippolis, president of “I Colori dell'Energia”, introduces the key themes of the event “The Colors of Energy – Transition & Supply Chain” which will be held in Toast from October 9th to 13th.

Our country is demonstrating extraordinary vitality,” Lippolis continues. “Italy has risen to 13th place in the world rankings in terms of investment attractiveness in the renewable energy sector, a leap forward that signals the markets' growing confidence in our potential. We have also recorded unprecedented production peaks: in May 2025, clean sources covered over 55% of the national electricity requirement, a goal that until a few years ago seemed far away. These numbers are not random, but the fruit of a precise strategy that we must now take to the next level.”. These are some data taken from the Report on the Italian energy sector which will be released on the occasion of the event.

The Brindisi event, organized together with the Puglia Region and DiTNE (National Energy Technology District) with the support of Confindustria, and the High Patronage of the European Parliament and the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security, aims to transform these successes into a structural competitive advantage.

“The real challenge,” Lippolis emphasizes, “is not just installing solar panels or wind turbines, but building the entire value chain here in Italy. We must become producers of technology, not just users. I'm thinking of hydrogen electrolyzers, where the PNRR has allocated significant resources to create advanced production hubs, especially in the South. Or tofloating offshore wind, a revolutionary technology in which Italy can aspire to a leading role, being the third largest potential market in the world

Developing these supply chains means creating qualified jobs, valorising our talents and

make the country system more resilient.”

“The Colors of Energy” was conceived as a synergy accelerator, a place where industry giants – such as A2A, Edison, Enel, Eni ed Erg – will be able to meet with institutions, research centers, and, above all, the vital fabric of small and medium-sized enterprises.

“Our goal,” concludes Lippolis, “is to create concrete connections. For this reason we have planned sessions B2B meetings, to promote the integration of SMEs into large supply chains.

We will address crucial issues such as energy communities, the potential of hydrogen, the new frontiers of sea and wind, and the skills needed for this industrial revolution.

From Brindisi, we want to launch a vision: the energy transition is not a cost, but the largest industrial modernization project for Italy. A project that must be inclusive, economically sustainable, and proudly Italian.
