Renewable Energy Communities: implementing decrees and incentives

The conference on "Renewable Energy Communities: implementing decrees and incentives" was held on April 23, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the "Gino Strada" room of Palazzo Nervegna in Brindisi.

The event, promoted by DiTNE, was held in collaboration with Confindustria Brindisi, CNA Brindisi, and the Order of Engineers of the Province of Brindisi, and with the participation of A2A and Edison.

With the recent publication of the decrees regarding incentives for shared energy for energy communities and collective self-consumption configurations, the regulatory framework supporting these crucial tools for developing renewable energy sources and promoting self-generation is now operational.

The Renewable Energy Community (CER) is a group of citizens, small and medium-sized enterprises, local authorities, and local authorities, including municipal administrations, cooperatives, research institutions, religious organizations, third sector organizations, and environmental protection organizations, who share the renewable electricity produced by plants owned by one or more entities belonging to the community.

In a CER, renewable electricity can be shared among various producers and consumers located within the same geographical area, thanks to the use of the national electricity distribution network, which enables the virtual sharing of this energy.

An extraordinary tool for empowering and empowering consumers, who simultaneously become energy producers, with the aim of providing environmental, economic, and social benefits to CER members and the local communities in which they operate.
